In today’s fast-paced world, running a business has become increasingly complex, often burdened by digital overload and numerous initiatives that don’t always yield real results. Despite the best intentions, many companies find that DEI efforts feel superficial, customer service struggles to meet expectations, and employee engagement is at an all-time low. What do people really want? Fair compensation, supportive leadership, and a sense of community at work. This talk invites you to strip away the unnecessary complexities and focus on what truly matters, building a workplace that values and empowers its people. Let’s return to the fundamentals and create environments where both businesses and employees can thrive.

The debate over remote work versus the office is missing the point. If commutes were short and housing affordable, most employees would happily choose the office for connection, learning, and collaboration. The true issues at the heart of the future of work are, skyrocketing child care costs and the inability to live near work. Misdiagnosing these problems has led to workplace policies that harm the poorest workers, increase loneliness, stifle growth, and weaken our communities. In this thought-provoking talk, Alex uncovers the real challenges and explore solutions to create workplaces that truly benefit employees, businesses, and society.
